8u Mite development programs
Is this the same as 8u House? No...
Not to be confused with 8u house leagues, 8u development programs are tailored for those families with an eye on one day entering full travel hockey. These programs are not required for a child to be considered for a full travel team at the 10u level and beyond, but they are excellent for those who wish to get a jump start developing skills and experience a taste of what travel hockey offers.
Are there tryouts?
Tryouts or evaluations are standard for entering these programs. Players are expected to have some skating skills under their belts.
